- eDOCS DM connector has version 16.x with MS SQL database backend set as default. Connector upgrades will revert back to this version if you have configured version 10.x, 5.x or Oracle. See Upgrading the connector below and Prerequisites in Adding a New Connection.
- eDOCS DM connector is only supporting files residing on a Document Server using an UNC path.
- eDOCS DM 16 lookup security is only fully supported for 1 lookup metadata field. If more than 1 lookup metadata field the user will only get search hits if the same user or group token are has allow on all lookup metadata fields.

Upgrading the connector
Connector upgrades will revert back to this version if you have configured version 10.x, 5.x or Oracle. Please use the following steps when upgrading the eDOCS DM Connector.
- Disable the eDOCS DM connections
- Run the installer upgrading the connector.
- The installer will overwrite 'ConnectorDefinition.xml' and 'IdentificationDefinition.xml' in the fetch folder. It you are not using version 16.x with MS SQL database, redo the Prerequisites steps described in Adding a New Connection.
- Repeat 2. and 3. for all servers
- Enable the eDOCS DM connections.
