The Instructions feature of the Ayfie Personal Assistant is a powerful tool for users who require tailored and consistent AI interactions. By setting specific instructions, you can guide the AI to respond in a manner that is more relevant to your specific use cases, improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of interactions. Defining instructions also helps you maintain consistency in the AI's responses across different sessions and users, which is particularly useful for team environments or ongoing projects.
When chatting, users can select which instructions to apply during the session, providing flexibility to switch between different sets of guidelines as needed.
Managing Instructions
To access the management functionality, expand the Instructions drop-down and click on "Manage and create instructions"
This will take you to a dialog where you can review the existing Instructions, edit or delete them as well as create new ones.
Creating new Instructions
After clicking the + New Instruction
button in the Manage Instructions panel, you will be presented with a new dialog where you can define the Instruction in detail, outlining the specific behavior, tone, language etc that you expect from the AI. For ease of identification, each Instruction is assigned a title.
Instruction body: The main body of the Instruction takes up to 10 000 characters of input, and should be used to define the desired behavior, for example:
Language and Tone: Specify the language and tone the AI should use, which is particularly useful for maintaining brand voice or adhering to professional standards.
Behavioral Guidelines: Define how the AI should behave in specific scenarios. This can include the level of detail required, or any specific protocols to follow.
Task-Specific Instructions: For recurring tasks or specialized projects, you can set instructions that guide the AI on how to handle these tasks, ensuring precision and consistency.
Contexts: Each Instruction can also have Context added, each of which takes up to 3 000 characters of input. The purpose of Contexts is to provide the AI with supplementary background information that may not be part of its general knowledge base. This ensures that the AI has all the necessary details to perform its tasks correctly and accurately. Since an Instruction can have multiple Contexts, each Context needs to be assigned a title for easy identification.
