Agent - Translation

Agent can translate supported files from one language to another, so you can reuse content across languages.

This is an optional feature and must be enabled by an administrator before it is available to users.

Key Features

  • Document Translation: Translate an entire document from one language to another.

  • Multiple Language Support: Translate between many different languages.

  • Context-Aware Translations: LLM‑powered translation considers the surrounding text so that terms and phrases are translated consistently within the document’s context.

  • Supported File Types: This feature supports the same file types as other Agent features, including Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, and common text files.

Important Limitations

  • Single File Processing: Only one file can be translated at a time. Translating multiple files in parallel is not supported.

  • Content-Based Translation: Translations are based on text extracted from the file. Formatting is applied automatically to improve readability, so the translated document’s layout and formatting may differ from the original.

  • Processing Time: Translating larger files may take longer to complete.

Using Translation

1. Activate Translation:

To activate Translation, type the /translate command into the input field or select it from the list of specialized actions.

2. Choose File:

  • Select a file to translate from the Resources panel on the right (upload it first if it is not already listed).

3. Request Translation:

  • Specify your desired target language in your request (e.g., 'Translate this document to Polish').

  • The Agent will process your file and deliver the translated content.

  • If your request is invalid (for example, missing a target language, selecting multiple files or none, or requesting a partial translation), Agent explains the issue and how to fix it.

4. Translation Responses:

The Agent will provide a translation of the document's text, which you can export to PDF or Word format.

You can also open a preview to review the complete translation and export it to PDF or Word.

Troubleshooting

If Agent refuses to translate a document, try simplifying your request to /translate to <language> and run it again. If the problem persists, check that only one file is selected and that its type is supported.
