Locator indexes data from multiple sources. The security model in many sources are Active Directory based . Other sources can be based on other authentication systems. To be able to search data from all sources, you will be promoted to enter source credentials for all configured sources. You will then be authenticated and authorized to search data from these sources.

For the primary authentication system you will be authenticated and authorized during login. For secondary authentication system you will be prompted to enter your credentials to after you’ve been logged in. To manage your secondary authentication system, in the Locator UI, go to Search Settings. In the section Source credentials, all secondary authentication systems will be listed.

If you do not have access to a source or are not interested in getting search results from a source, you can select the “I do not have an account” options
