Supported Alfresco Versions
The Alfresco Connector can index an Alfresco Enterprise Server version 4.2 and later, that is running within the same LAN as the viaworks server.
Limitations
This connector only supports an Alfresco Enterprise on premise installation. It will not index data in a cloud implementation of Alfresco.
Prerequisites
- A license for the Alfresco Connector.
- A license for Alfresco Enterprise is required.
- The foldercrawl service installed on Alfresco server if this option is to be used for indexing. Not Required.
Supported Data Types
The connector supports indexing the following data types:
- Document (including but not limited to: sites, documents, blogs, wikis, data lists, and forum articles)
- Folder
Crawl Methods
Full Crawl: The Alfresco Connector supports scheduling periodic full scans of the source system.
Incremental Crawl: The Alfresco Connector supports incremental crawl of Alfresco
DocumentHandler
Yes, the viaworks Document Handler is required on the clients to open search hits from Alfresco in the native Alfresco application.
Other information
The Alfresco Connector uses the standard CMIS protocol.
