Web service (w3wp.exe - Internet Information Server)

  • Port 80 (TCP) for HTTP
    • Bound to 0.0.0.0
  • Port 443 (TCP) for HTTPS
    • Bound to 0.0.0.0 if setup

SOLR Index Service

  • Port 8983 (TCP) for SOLR Admin Dashboard
    • Bound to localhost by default, can be overriden
  • Port 9983 (TCP) for SOLR ZooKeep for SolrCloud Deployments
    • Bound to localhost by default, can be overriden

Postgres Database Service

  • Port 5432 (TCP) for client connections
    • Bound to localhost by default, can be overriden when multi server deployments are used.

Microsoft SQL Server

  • Port 1433 (TCP) for client connections
    • Please note that Locator does not ship with Microsoft SQL Server. If MSSQL is to be used, the customer has to set up the instance and supply a valid SQL Server license and CALs.

Active Directory (used for authentication and security)

  • Port 137 (TCP) for NetBIOS Name Resolution
  • Port 139 (TCP) for User and Computer Authentication
  • Port 389 (UDP/TCP) for LDAP communication
  • Port 88 (UDP/TCP) when Kerberos is used for authentication

SharePoint

  • Port 80 (TCP) for API connections when SharePoint is configured for HTTP
  • Port 443 (TCP) for API connections when SharePoint is configured for HTTPS
  • Port 389 (LDAP) for LDAP communication

Exchange

  • Port 80 (TCP) for API connections when Exchange is configured for HTTP
  • Port 443 (TCP) for API connections when Exchange is configured for HTTPS
  • Port 389 (LDAP) for LDAP communication
