In ViaWorks/Locator 2.8 or later, individual connectors can be installed and upgraded using the Connector Feed without needing to upgrade the entire Locator application. Note: any connector in the list can be installed however, to create a connection, you must have a license for the connector.
The drop-down menu in the top right corner allows you to choose which feed to obtain connectors from: Current official release, previous releases or beta releases. After making a selection, click “Refresh” to update the list of connectors.
Connectors that aren’t installed appear in black and installed connectors will appear in either green or red, depending on whether the latest version is install.
Selecting a connector will show the latest version number and the version currently installed. Clicking “Install” will download the connector and launch the installer. Note: an internet connection is required to use the Connector Feed.
