The Sign-On Options page allow an administrator to configure Single Sign-on mode which uses Windows Integrated Security and configure session timeout durations.

Use Single Sign-on      

  • Specifies whether single sign-on mode is enabled. When enabled, Windows Integrated Security is used for user authentication. By default, ViaWorks uses NTLM authentication. For Kerberos authentication see the “Configuring Kerberos Authentication” article.

 

Allow Persistent Sessions

  • Specifies whether the “Keep me signed in” option is displayed on the login screen when SSO is not enabled. After changing this setting, perform an iisreset to see the changes immediately.
  • Expire persistent sessions inactive for more than:
    • Specifies an expiration in days for which inactive persistent sessions are valid.

 

Expire non-persistent sessions inactive for more than:

  • Non-persistent sessions are those authenticated using SSO or logins without the “Keep me signed in” option checked.
  • Specifies an expiration in minutes for which inactive non-persistent sessions are valid.

 

Click the Save button to store all your changes, or Cancel to revert them to the way they were.
