Test 1: Verify the Web Client and User Login

Follow these steps:

  1. Open a web browser

  2. Enter the following address in the browser address bar: http://ViaWorks_server_name/search

  3. You should then see the ViaWorks login

  4. Log in using an Active Directory domain user name and password

    • If the login is successful, you will see the ViaWorks Web Client interface, which verifies that the installation was successful.

Test 2: Verify the Search Engine Runs

The next step is to test ViaWorks search capabilities. As soon as you log in, you will see the ViaWorks Search Client. This confirms the client is properly installed and activated.

Since you have not yet conducted the initial indexing phase, there are no data sources to search at this time. You will return to this page after configuring your data sources and completing the initial indexing phase.
