Alfresco Enterprise Search Integration

Note: The search integration requires ViaWorks/Locator 2.5.9481 or later.  It will not work with earlier ViaWorks releases.

The following is to be performed on the Alfresco Enterprise Server.  No changes are needed to the ayfie Locator server.

Install the Integration

1. Download virtualworks-alfresco-repository.amp and copy the file to the amps directory of your Alfresco instance. 
2. Download virtualworks-alfresco-share.amp and copy the file to the amps_share directory of your Alfresco instance.
3. Shut down Alfresco, change your directory to the bin directory of your Alfresco instance and run the Alfresco Module Management Tool to install the AMP files.

1. Once the installation is finished, start Alfresco.

Configure the Integration

1. Once Alfresco is started, login to Alfresco and click on the "Repository" link on the top menu.

1.  Click into the "Data Dictionary" folder.

1. Locate and select the "VirtualWorks Configs" folder and click on the "Edit Properties" link on the folder action menu.

1. In the "Edit Properties" dialog, enter the settings for the VirtualWorks Server Address and click the Save button.
