License compatibility

If you are upgrading from a previous ViaWorks 2.x release, your ViaWorks 2.x license will continue to work.  If you are installing ViaWorks 2.3 for the first time, or if you are upgrading from ViaWorks 1.5.x, you will be required to obtain a new license key from VirtualWorks.  Contact your VirtualWorks sales representative to obtain your license key.



New Installations

Download the ViaWorks Installation package, and run ViaWorks_2.3.5847.exe.  Use a valid License Code and follow instructions on the screen.

Upgrading from Prior Installation

You can upgrade to this release from a previous ViaWorks 2.x release.

You CANNOT upgrade to this release from ViaWorks 1.5.x or earlier.


Bug Fixes & Improvements

ViaWorks 2.3.5847 contains a single bug fix. The specific fix is for customers who have integrated a ViaWorks search bar into their portal or web application and use the search bars to construct specific ViaWorks searches for their users. There was a problem with how ViaWorks was interpreting this URL and would not perform the correct search.

If you have upgraded to SR3 (2.3.5846), it is optional whether or not to upgrade to this release. If you are running a release prior to 2.3.5846, it is recommended to upgrade to 2.3.5847, as it contains a number of bug fixes.

  • OpenText Content Server (version 10 and greater)

  • SuperOffice CRM (version 7.0 and greater)
