While preparing for the installation, the following checklist is provided to help you track the required tasks:
The hardware has been selected based on the customer's needs as described within the "Hardware Requirements" page.
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 or Windows Server 2012 has been installed with the latest Service Packs and Updates.
The Data partition has been created and formatted with cluster size of 4k or greater.
The server has been joined to the Active Directory domain.
The server IS NOT a domain controller.
Antivirus software IS NOT running on the Locator server.
The Locator server file folders ARE NOT shared with other computers.
A Domain User Account, to be used as the index user for data connections, (e.g. “ Locator IndexUser”) has been created.
The Index User Account has been granted Local Administrator rights on the ViaWorks server.
If Locator will be indexing a Domino server, the appropriate Notes Client has been installed on the Locator server.
You are now ready to start installing the Locator Server.
