The "Activate" command will activate a specified index, while deactivating another.

From a Windows command prompt, within the "Tools" folder, enter the following to run the Activate command:

 via.indexadmin activate /param

Allowable parameters:

/indexid|i:<String>
/norestart|n[:<Boolean>]
/yes|y[:<Boolean>]
/verbose|v[:<Boolean>]
/help|?[:<Boolean>]

ID of index to activate (required)
Do not restart the IndexBuilder
Restart IndexBuilder without prompting
Verbose output
