  • Communication with the ELO Index server API using ELO's special binary protocol.
     
  • Indexing of Document files and Folders and their respective metadata.
     
  • Indexing of Margin Notes. These are notes that can be set on each item with the ELO Java Client. There are three different types of Notes;
     
    • General Margin Notes: Which are accessible to Everyone
    •  Personal Margin Notes: Which are accessible only to the User that created the Notes.
    •  Permanent Margin Notes: Which are permanent and cannot be deleted after creation, and are accessible to Everyone
    Only General and Permanent Margin Notes are indexed.
     
  • Configurable Security algorithm with the following options:
    • 'Hierarchical Access Check', for enabling / disabling additional Read access checks on the items' Parent Folders.
    • 'Exclusive Owner Access', for enabling / disabling Exclusive Read access to the owners of items.
    • 'Group Personal Space Access', for enabling / disabling Read access to Groups' Personal space for the Groups' members.
