Accessing Supervisor

The Supervisor reporting module is accessed through a web page hosted from the ayfie Locator server. The Supervisor web page authenticates users and displays the features the user has access to, such as viewing, creating, scheduling or exporting reports or managing user access to Supervisor.

To access the Supervisor web page, enter the Supervisor address into a browser from within your company network:  http://server_name/supervisor.

Logging in to Supervisor

In order to put the power of Supervisor to work, you must first log into the system using your standard Windows username and password. Your username can be in the form of domain\username or username@domain.com.

When logging in for the first time the user will not have any permissions and will be prompted to contact an administrator to provide them access. The Supervisor Administrator or an user that has been given the Administrator permissions, will need to assign the appropriate permissions for the new user, see /wiki/spaces/PLATFORM/pages/433750195.

Check the "Remember me!" box if you wish to save your credentials.  The system will encrypt your information and reuse it the next time you want to access Supervisor .

Open Items in Reports

The Open action in the Supervisor reports uses Locator's Open feature. There are two requirements in order for the Open action in the Supervisor reports to be available to a user:

  1. The user account must be in the same domain as the ayfie Locator server and Active Directory must be the primary authentication realm in Locator.
  2. The user must have the Locator Document Handler installed on their client.
