Windows 2016 Server Regional Settings
To ensure that all the components of Locator works as intended, it's highly recommended to use these regional settings on your Windows 2016 Server installation.
These settings should be set before you install Locator, and in many cases requires a reboot of the server.
Step-by-step guide
Follow these steps to set up your regional settings
- Press the Windows key + R
- Run the following command control intl.cpl
- This will open up the Region settings of your server
- Set the format to "English (United States)"
Press "Apply" to apply the new settings - Then head to the "Administrative" tab
- Click the "Copy settings..." button
- Check the check boxes for "Welcome screen and system accounts" and "New user accounts"
Press "OK" to save - Now press the "Change system locale..." button.
- In the drop down menu, select "English (United States)" and press OK.
- Now press "OK" again to apply the new configuration. This may require a reboot.
After having followed these steps, your system regional settings are now set to a configuration known to work with all components used by Locator.
Please note: changing these settings will in most cases require a reboot.
