Supervisor requires an installation of the Locator (ViaWorks) platform with connectors to the source systems you want to report on.

Supervisor currently supports Locator (ViaWorks) platform version 2.7 SR4 and newer. 


Limitations

Internet Explorer is not supported

We recommend to uninstall the old version of Supervisor before running the installer for the new version. The database is retained when uninstalling.

Although upgrades are supported the, updated Lingo extractors included in this version will not trigger any reindex. So if you choose to use the upgrade, the reindex need to be done done manually . 


New Installations

Please contact sales@ayfie.com for the Supervisor installer. Run the installer on the Locator (ViaWorks) server. For help installing Supervisor, please see the Supervisor Installation Guide.

After installing Supervisor

To benefit from the new Lingo extractions and GDPR fields, a complete re-index of ViaWorks must be performed after upgrading.

Note: Upgrading to this version will change the URL from /insight to /supervisor. Please inform your users.

New Features

  • Added nested conditions and rules to the Report Creator
  • Added the ability for administrators to bulk delete snapshots from the Archive Report History page
  • Added an option to toggle between the latest snapshot data or live index data on the default dashboard

Bugs

  • Fixed an issue where column names in snapshot exports didn't match those displayed on the web page
  • Fixed an issue where the Lingo fields were lost when upgrading Locator  (ViaWorks)
  • Fixed an issue where unsupported operations were displayed as a widget setting
  • Fixed an installer issue if port 443 is already in use

Improvements

  • Added a warning to alert the user to unsaved changes when they try to navigate away from the current page
  • Added an option to the installer that allows the user to chose whether or not to re-index after the install / upgrade. A re-index is necessary to take advantage of new Lingo fields or fix issues with existing fields
  • Added a setting to certain widgets to hide / show empty data points in the graph
  • Renamed the web application from /insight to /supervisor to match the new branding
