Symfoni DMS Connector Release Notes

Supported ConnectorName Versions

The connector was developed for the Symfoni Version Eidsvoll (build: 13.0.2). This is the latest demo version of the document system Symfoni as of February 2016.

Limitations

The Symfoni connector will not work on ViaWorks 2.6 SR1 (build 2.6.485) due to issues with user authentication verification.

Prerequisites

The connector was developed using the Symfoni API.
At connection install time an URL for the API is needed (ex. https://demo.symfoni.com). An index user with access to the API and all content in Symfoni must also be provided.
At search time a user must log into a Symfoni account (with username and password) to get search hits from Symfoni.

Supported Data Types

The connector supports indexing the following data types:

  • Folders
  • Documents
  • Correspondences and Activities
  • Connections (persons)
  • Companies

Crawl Methods

Full Crawl: The Symfoni DMS Connector supports scheduling periodic full scans of the source system.

Incremental Crawl: Not supported

DocumentHandler

Not required

Other information

The connector does not index items in the trash folder. Items that originally were stored in the folder structure will still be found if they have been moved to trash. When the items are deleted from trash, they will also be removed from the search.
