Symfoni DMS Connector: Adding a New Connection

When setting up the connection the following values in the Admin Wizard below needs to filled in.

Under Entities to index, it is possible to restrict indexing to certain Symfoni types.

Setting Name	Description
Connection Name	The name of the connection.
Server Url	The url of the server.
Index User Name	The name of the index user.
Index User Password	The Index User's password.
Validate Connection	Defines whether the connection settings should be validated.
Entities to index	The entity types that should be indexed.

On the security page it is possible to give permissions to users based on security group memberships and to internal Symfoni users.

Add Symfoni access groups to security scope

Defines whether users should be able to search Symfoni items they only have access

to from Internal Symfoni access groups

Add Symfoni AD Groups to security scope

Defines whether users should be able to search Symfoni items they only have access to

from Symfoni Groups in Active Directory

Add Access to all non-restricted items in Symfoni for internal Users

Defines whether users with setting isExternal = false should be able to search Symfoni

items with values isRestricted = false

File Types to Index	The file extension to index. Options are All, List of selected or list of excluded.
