The indexing frequency is determined by what has been scheduled from the ViaWorks Management Console. The scheduling tool has two main options:
'Simple Scheduling'
- Allows the administrator to choose either 'continuous' indexing, or to set a 'daily fixed time range' for indexing that will repeat at a particular time every day.
"Mixed Scheduling'
- Allows the administrator to build a more complex schedule, choosing specific time periods for each day within an entire week. This is useful in environments where certain days exhibit more or less demand, and the administrator wants to adapt indexing to the business load cycle.
Some ViaWorks Connectors also support PUSH and Change Sets.
