What is a Connection?

A CONNECTION is a collection of settings, where each connects and controls the data flow from a data source.

A set of connections makes the operational part of a CONNECTOR. There can be many CONNECTIONS for a given CONNECTOR.

For example, the File Shares Connector is used to retrieve data from network file shares.  Each connection will be created using the File Server connector, and each connection will point to a specific file share or shared folder, like \\fileserver\common_share_1 or \\server1\share1\folder1\
