SharePoint Connector: Security
Authentication and Identification
The connector relies on the default Locator Active Directory Authentication and Identification Plugin that gets the users' Security Identifiers (SIDs) from Active Directory for both Sharepoint on-premises and Online. In addition SharePoint Online gets the users' Security Identifiers from SharePoint Online and Azure.
Identification
During identifications the SharePoint connector can get tokens from the following sources:
Active Directory
Scope: AD
Tokens:Â The Active Directory Security Identifiers (SIDs) of the user and groups.
SharePoint Online
Scope: SPOnline
Tokens:Â The Sharepoint site ID + user id or group name.
Azure
Only in use if this is enabled for the connection.
Scope: Azure
Tokens:Â Azure group id
Security
Share Security
Not in use.
Document Security
Active Directory
Scope: AD
Tokens:Â The Active Directory Security Identifiers (SIDs) of the user and groups.
SharePoint Online
Scope: SPOnline
Tokens:Â The Sharepoint site ID + user id or group name.
Azure
Only in use if this is enabled for the connection.
