What languages does ayfie Locator support?

Locator allows the user to select from a few different languages when using the Locator web client.  This will enable the web client to be presented in the language chosen by the user.  To change from the default English language, each user must log in to the web client and click on the "Accounts & Settings" icon at the top right.  Click on "Change" next to "Language" and select the desired language.  

Locator supports the following languages: 

Search Client, Management Console, & Management Dashboard:

  • Czech
  • Dutch
  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Portuguese

Search client only:

  • Danish
  • Finnish
  • Norwegian
  • Spanish
  • Swedish
  • Russian
  • Ukrainian
  • Italian
  • Bulgarian
  • Turkish

It is important to know that changing the language setting in the web client search preferences, only changes the presentation of the user interface.  It does not have any effect on the content of the data that has been indexed.  By default, Locator supports indexing data that is in the English language.  To support indexing data in a language other than English requires configuration changes made to the Locator server.  This work needs to be performed by ayfie Professional Services, and done prior to establishing data connections and indexing data.
